People
-Minimize time outdoors
-Check on those who may need help winterizing their home.
Pets
-Keep your pets warm, dry, & indoors as much as possible.
-Ensure their food & water doesn’t freeze.
Pipes
-Insulate pipes if possible.
-Open up sink cabinets.
-Disconnect hoses & turn off water to sprinklers.
Plants
-Bring potted plants inside.
-Water your plants: water will help trap heat & slow heat loss.
A little prep now can prevent big problems later. Stay warm, stay safe, and look out for one another this winter!
